There’s a lot of pressure to always be “ok.”
How are you doing? - “ok”
How is business? - “ok”
How’s the family? - “ok”
How many times have you responded with OK knowing damn well that everything was indeed NOT OK? Feeling sad or upset or defeated isn’t the same as having negative energy. The good vibes only movement has people feeling bad for feeling bad. Sometimes life is just hard and you’re not feeling like a unicorn shooting confetti cannons out of its ass.
This week, I want you to take your powerback by allowing yourself to speak your truth. You can be honest without giving details or feeling the need to take everyone down a long path. It’s ok to not be ok – everyone is dealing with something and if we all allow more than one emotion to be present in the conversation, we’ll realize that we’re all together, not alone.
